Overview

Vietnam’s classic journey unfolds with an immersive experience of its rich history, vibrant cities, and breathtaking landscapes. The adventure begins in Hanoi, the heart of the nation, where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with French colonial charm. Exploring the bustling Old Quarter, tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake, and significant landmarks such as the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the Temple of Literature offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s storied past and cultural heritage.

Leaving Hanoi, the journey ventures to the mesmerizing Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its emerald waters and limestone karsts. A cruise through the bay reveals hidden caves, floating fishing villages, and stunning seascapes, creating an unforgettable encounter with one of nature’s masterpieces. As the sun sets over the bay, the tranquil beauty of Ha Long becomes a highlight of the experience.

From the northern charm of Hanoi and Ha Long, the journey transitions to the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. A city of contrasts, it showcases grand colonial architecture, bustling markets, and historical sites such as the War Remnants Museum and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Beyond the city, the Cu Chi Tunnels offer a poignant insight into Vietnam’s wartime resilience, with an underground network that once served as a base for resistance fighters.

The exploration continues into the heart of the Mekong Delta, where life unfolds along winding waterways and lush islands. A boat trip through the delta provides a firsthand look at floating markets, traditional crafts, and the rural simplicity of riverside villages. Tasting local delicacies, listening to folk music, and witnessing the daily rhythms of life in this fertile land create an authentic connection to Vietnam’s countryside.

DAY 05 : SAIGON FULL DAY CU CHI TUNNEL AND CITY TOUR
Morning: Take a half-day tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels, 75 km northwest of downtown Ho Chi Minh City. These tunnels were once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces during the wars against the French and later the Americans. Entirely hand-dug, the tunnels formed a highly intricate network of interlinked, multi-level passageways stretching at times as far as the Cambodian border, totaling over 120 km in length. This complex network contained meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches, and emergency exits, all designed for guerrilla warfare. The tunnels were deep and strong enough to withstand destructive bombings and self-contained enough to outlast prolonged sieges. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Afternoon: Take a half-day city tour to visit the outside of Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica (under renovation until 2023), a neo-Roman cathedral built by the colonial French with materials entirely imported from Marseilles. Visit the Saigon Central Post Office, designed and constructed in the early 20th century by the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel.
