The northeast of India is the least-visited corner of the country, yet it holds both extraordinary scenic variety. North East region is linguistically and culturally very distinct from the other states of India.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Aizawl

On arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport. Our Ghumney representative will meet to welcome and escort you and straight transfer to Hotel. On arrival in Aizawl with necessary formalities for Inner Line Permit. The town is blessed with exotic natural beauty and is famous for its handicrafts. It is an ideal hill station for tourists looking for solitude and clean air. On arrival check it at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : Aizawl Sightseeing

Sightseeing of Aizawl town will include the visit to the State museum Bara Bazaar, Big Drum of Aizawl and Model Village at Falkawn. Overnight in Aizawl.

Day 3 : Aizawl - Imphal

Dropping at Aizawl airport .Leave for Imphal by flight . On arrival check in at Hotel Classic. After lunch visit Kangla fort and Ima Market. Overnight in Imphal.

Day 4 : Imphal

Full day sightseeing –Govindajee Temple ,Loktak lake(largest fresh water lake in north east), INA Memorial(Indian tri color was first hoisted here by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army), Japanese War Memorial, Sadu Chiru water falls. Overnight Imphal.

Day 5 : Imphal - Kohima

Drive to KOHIMA. En route visit Heritage village- a model village for all the major tribes of Nagaland. On arrival check in at Hotel and Overnight in Kohima.

Day 6 : Kohima

After breakfast visit the local vegetable and fish market and then proceed to an Angami Naga Village – Khonoma village, 20 km / 1 hr, famous for its valour and fiercely independent mindset. Back to Kohima for lunch. Afternoon visit the II World War cemetery. Overnight stay at Kohima.

Day 7 : Kohima - Kaziranga

Drive to Kaziranga National Park, the abode of one horned rhinoceros. Reaching there we check in at Hotel.

Day 8 : Kaziranga

We shall start early in the morning for an elephant safari for 01 hour inside the park which is a world heritage site. After elephant safari, breakfast at lodge. Then we go for a jeep safari in the western range of the park. Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 9 : Kaziranga - Guwahati

After breakfast we drive towards Guwahati . On reaching Guwahati Check in at Hotel.

Day 10 : Guwahati - Shillong

Drive to Shillong enroute visit Don Bosco Museum which is one of the most Hitech museums in India. On arrival check in at Hotel in Shillong.

Day 11 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong

Day trip to Cherrapunjee enroute visit Shillong Peak and then proceed to Elephant Falls before finally leaving for Cherrapunjee-the wettest place on earth where we will be exploring the Mausmai Caves, the Naukalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Ram Krishna Mission. Return to Shillong and overnight.

Day 12 : Shillong-Guwahati

Leave for Guwahati after breakfast. Afternoon we will make a visit to the famed Kamakhya Temple and enjoy the boat ride in the Brahmaputra River for visiting Umananda Temple situated in a small river island in the Brahmaputra. Overnight in Guwahati.

Day 13 : Dropping Airport/Railway Station

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to airport/railway station to board flight/train for onward destination. End of Our Services ( Check-in/ Check-out time is 1200 Hrs. at all hotels)
