Overview

The North Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir is renowned for its stunning Himalayan landscapes and many spiritual sites. On this tour, set out on a scenic pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi and Nag Temple, admire the views from the mountaintop Nathatop, and explore the countryside around Srinagar, Sonamarg and Gulmarg. Along the way, enjoy optional activities such as hiking, horseback riding, or white water rafting.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Jammu Airport – Katra (Altitude 300 Mtrs. 50 Kms. 2 Hours Drive)

On arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport/railway station. Our Ghumney representative will meet to welcome and escort you and straight transfer to Katra This small town serves as the base camp for visiting the famous shrine of Vaishnodeviji in the Trikuta Hills. The shrine is approachable on foot along a 12 km, long well-laid footpath. Every year, nearly 4 million pilgrims pass through Katra on their way to Vaishnodeviji on arrival at Katra check-in Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 : Katra – Mai Vaishno Devi (Altitude 5300 feets. Trek 13 Kms)

After breakfast leave for Mai Vaishno Devi Darshan by Trek/Helicopter Route for Trekkers is Katra/Banganga (1.5 Km) Banganga/Charan Paduka (1.5 Km) Charan Paduka-Adhkunwari ( 3 Km) Adhkunwari-Bhavan ( 7 Km) & Drive to Helicopter Base to connect your helicopter towards main Vaishno Devi flight time 10 minutes to reach Vaishno Devi Temple, have Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi. After having Prasad proceed to Bhairo Baba Temple by horse and reach the helipad by horse to fly down to Katra. After returning Katra relax in the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Katra.

Day 3 : Katra – Pahalgam 302 Kms. 7 / 8 Hours Drive (Altitude 2195 Mrts.)

After breakfast leave from Katra towards to Pahalgam (The Valley of Shepherds), one of the beautiful and fascinating ideal resorts all the year. It is the base for several treks in the region & for the Annual Pilgrimages to the cave shrine of Amarnath; It is surrounded by 12 high snow-capped peaks & enjoys the beautiful countryside life. Drive through the pine valley forest arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy your packed lunch on the banks of the Lidder Stream, One can have real feelings of Paradise, late return back to Srinagar check in Houseboat/Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 : Tour of Chandanwari, Behtab Valley and Aru

After breakfast leave for the tour of Chandanwari, Behtab Valley and Aru valley, you reach all places by Jeep (At Own Cost) or a day at leisure as per atmosphere, return back from journey check inn Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Pahalgam – Srinagar – Gulmarg 1(46 Kms. 4 ½ Hours Drive Altitude 2730 Mrts.)

Early morning leave after breakfast from Pahalgam towards to Gulmarg (The Meadow of Flowers) Via Srinagar Bye Pass, many villages on arrival at Gulmarg Check Inn (Hotel as per Location) Gulmarg has one of the most beautiful summer resort/winter best Ski resorts in the valley, also world Highest 18 Hole Golf Course, (Gulmarg was Discovered in 16th Century by Sultan Yusuf Shah), dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 6 : Gulmarg Visit Gondola

Morning After Breakfast Leave for full Day Sightseeing of Gulmarg Visit you can have a gondola ride (By own Cost) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg (Altitude 3100 Mrts.) to have a real view of the natural beauty of the summer also view of Nanga Parvat (Altitude 8137 Mrts.) in Cloudless Days and full snow view in winter. You can have a pony ride (By own Cost) in the open fields to Visits seven springs and to an Alpather lake (Altitude 3843 Mrts.) (By Own Cost), which remains frozen until June, dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7 : Gulmarg - Srinagar (56 Kms. 1 ½ Hours Drive Altitude 1730 Mrts.)

After breakfast leave from Gulmarg on arrival at Srinagar Afternoon tour of Mughal Gardens Visits the Heritages Places, Cheshma Shahi (By Shah Jehan in 1632 AD.), Pari Mahal (By Dara Shikoh), Nishat Bagh (By Asaf Khan in 1633 AD.), Shalimar Bagh (By Jehangir in 1616 AD), Evening back for Lake rides by Shikara to visit Floating Gardens, Lotus Gardens, inside of the Lake, dinner & overnight stay at Houseboat/Hotel.

Day 8 : Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (87 Kms. 2 ½ Hours drive Altitude 2740 Mtrs.)

After breakfast leave for the full-day tour of Sonamarg (Meadows of Gold), Sonamarg lies at the head of the Sindh valley. The drive through here presents a spectacular facet of the countryside; Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland, Surrounded by pine forest mountains up to 5300 meters high the valley is divided by a spur of the "Thajiwas Range Mountains" one can have a pony ride to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year the major attraction at Sonamarg in summer months, Sonamarg is known as Gateway of Leh – Ladakh. Late return back to Srinagar dinner & overnight stay at Houseboat/Hotel.

Day 9 : Srinagar Depature
