Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Guwahati - Kaziranga

On arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport/railway station. Our Ghumney representative will meet to welcome and escort you and straight transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the "One Horned Rhinoceros' '. It is one of the oldest national parks in Assam on the south bank of the river Brahmaputra. Spread across 430 sq. km, it is a dazzling mosaic interspersed with vast tracts of marshes and shallow pools that are a favorite haunt of this celebrity prehistoric beast. Wild elephant, Hog deer, and Barasingha also abound, Check-in at hotels /resorts, Evening you can visit the Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park. Overnight stay at hotel/Resort.

Day 2 : Kaziranga National Park – Kaziranga National Park Safari

Start the day at 5 A.M with 1 hr. Elephant Safari in the Bagori (western) range of Kaziranga. Return to the hotel for breakfast, after lunch visits the nearby tea estate and villages to experience the rural lifestyle Post lunch, enjoy Jeep Safari in Kaziranga. Later you can visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park and enjoy cultural shows on direct payment. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 3 : Kaziranga National Park – Shillong

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Shillong. On the way visit the famous Umiam Lake. Here you can enjoy adventure sports on direct payment. On reaching visit if time permits you can drive to the Police area of Shillong, here you can visit the Wards Lake, Hydri Park and enjoy street shopping with your loved ones. Overnight, stay in Shillong.

Day 4 : Shillong – Jowai

After breakfast from Shillong to visit the Krang Suri Falls famous for its crystal-clear blue water and Tyrshi waterfalls. You can also visit the Durga Temple, Monoliths, and the stone bridge which was built and used by the Jaintia Kings. Later drive back to the hotel. Overnight, stay in Jowai.

Day 5 : Jowai – Shnongpdeng (Dawki)

After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong and visit Asia's cleanest village, here you can enjoy a short trek to reach the Single Decker Root Bridge. You can also see the Balancing Rock. Later visit Dawki, a small town in West Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya, where you can enjoy boat rides on the Tamabil River, locally known as Umngot which is shared by India and Bangladesh. Later visit the Indo Bangladesh border and drive to Shnongpdeng. Overnight, stay in Dawki( Shnongpdeng).

Day 6 : Shnongpdeng – Cherrapunji – Shillong

Today post breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee popularly known as Sohra Town. Cherrapunjee is a popular tourist destination of Meghalaya which is known as the wettest place on the earth. En-route visit Shillong peak to enjoy the picturesque view of Meghalaya and visit Elephant falls. On reaching Cherrapunjee visits Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sisters falls, Eco Park. Caving is one of the major tourism activities in Meghalaya. You can explore Mawsmai cave,Arwah cave. Later check into the hotel and overnight stay in Shillong Hotel.

Day 7 : Shillong - Guwahati

Today post breakfast drive to Guwahati.Evening visit Local Market. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 8 : Guwahati departure

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to airport/railway station to board flight/train for onward destination.
