Embark on a sacred journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, a revered pilgrimage for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers. This yatra begins in Lucknow, followed by a scenic drive to Nepalgunj, marking the first step toward this spiritual adventure.

From Nepalgunj, an early morning flight takes travelers to Simikot, the gateway to remote northwest Nepal, offering breathtaking mountain views. A helicopter ride further transports pilgrims to Hilsa, from where they cross the border into Tibet and drive to Taklakot (Purang) for acclimatization.

The journey continues with a drive across the vast Tibetan plateau to the sacred Lake Manasarovar (4,590m). Pilgrims can take a holy dip in its pristine waters and perform spiritual rituals along its shores. The next day, a visit to Yamdwar, the gateway to Mount Kailash Kora, allows for a divine darshan of Mount Kailash. Instead of trekking, travelers return to Taklakot on the same day.

The return journey retraces the route through Hilsa, Simikot, and Nepalgunj, culminating with a drive back to Lucknow.

This short and comfortable itinerary is designed for those seeking the spiritual essence of Kailash and Manasarovar without the physical demands of the Kora. With expert guidance, seamless logistics, and breathtaking landscapes, this yatra offers a divinely enriching and transformative experience.

Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions contain crucial information. It is important that you read and fully understand them, as they govern all services provided by Special Holidays.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy covering medical expenses, natural disasters, helicopter evacuation, personal accidents, and other related risks.
Risks & Liability
Special Holidays and its affiliated partners are committed to ensuring that your journey is smooth and enjoyable. However, please be advised that all tours in Tibet are conducted in strict accordance with the regulations set by the Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB). As such, Special Holidays and its partners cannot be held responsible for any changes or alterations to the program arising from unavoidable circumstances, such as landslides, road blockages, floods, snow, political unrest, flight cancellations, delays, illness, or accidents. Health Tips
This is one of the most challenging high-altitude road journeys in the world, and physical fitness is essential. Individuals with asthma or heart conditions may experience difficulty acclimatizing to high altitudes. For your safety, it is crucial that you undergo a thorough examination by your doctor to assess your health and ability to endure the demands of high-altitude travel, including days in "no road" conditions, extreme cold, dust, and trekking to an altitude of 19,500 feet during the Parikrama.
Weather (May to August)

Daytime Temperature: 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F)

Nighttime Temperature: 0°C to -5°C (32°F to 23°F)

In the summer, temperatures are generally more moderate, but it can still get quite cold during the night, especially at higher altitudes.

Altitude Sickness
As you ascend to higher altitudes, it is common to experience symptoms of altitude sickness, such as headaches, loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, and breathlessness, as your body acclimates to the elevation. This adjustment period can vary in duration, typically taking a few days or longer, depending on the individual. To ensure a safer and more comfortable journey, we require all travellers to stay two nights at Mansarovar before proceeding to higher elevations. We strongly recommend staying well-hydrated, remaining calm, and refraining from physical exertion. Additionally, avoid consuming alcohol or smoking before or during the tour.
Currency
The official currency of China is the yuan, and currency exchange services are available at the Bank of China in Kerung.
Bring with you
You are encouraged to bring the following items for your journey: snacks such as chocolates, dry fruits, toffees, glucose, and namkeen. Additionally, carry a durable water bottle along with water purifying tablets, Diamox tablets, and a personal medical kit suitable for high-altitude conditions. Protective items like sunglasses (to shield your eyes from UV rays, which are particularly intense at high altitudes), sunscreen lotion, and wet tissues (ideal for wiping away dust) are also recommended. Other useful items include a clothesline or clips, a needle and thread, body spray (for refreshing boots, feet, or the toilet tent), and a toilet kit.
Clothing Tips
In Tibet, casual attire and comfortable walking shoes are essential. Be sure to pack warm clothing, as the nights and early mornings can be quite chilly. Indian pilgrims are strongly advised against wearing saris during this yatra. It is recommended to bring all necessary items such as medications, cosmetics, and personal toiletries, as these may be difficult or impossible to find along the route. A small first-aid kit is also highly recommended. Additionally, carrying a route map is beneficial to help you navigate and track your journey each day.
Need to be Carry
Recommended winter attire includes Gore-Tex material, which, although costly, offers exceptional durability and protection. Essential items include a down jacket, raincoat, or windbreaker, along with thermal underwear, jackets, warm trousers, and woollen or cotton shirts. Additional layers such as warm sweaters, woollen gloves, and a sun hat are advised. Footwear should consist of comfortable shoes, with light leather boots for snowy conditions. A woollen balaclava (often referred to as a "monkey cap") and a scarf or dust mask will help safeguard your eyes and nose from dust exposure.

Yeti Himalayan reserves the right to modify or amend any part of these terms and conditions at its discretion and at any time, it deems necessary.
